Find the right web CMS for your church or parish

A number of companies now offer name-brand web Content Management Systems (CMS) with pre-designed templates, or "looks," that make it easy for churches and parishes to develop and — just as importantly, maintain — a great-looking website. Some CMS vendors offer custom designs, too. And, web CMS solutions for churches and parishes have come of age and now typically include a a wealth of powerful features.

Use the search options below to help you find a CMS that's perfect for your church or parish and that fits its budget. Currently my database includes 62 products.

Open source (free) CMS programs such as Joomla, Mambo, TYPO3, Drupal, XOOPS, etc., are another excellent option for churches and parishes, but are not included in my directory per se. For more information about these, go to opensourceCMS.com. See this related page for a general listing of commercial CMS products. Please also visit my searchable directory of web services providers.

SEARCH BY FEATURES, OR BY PRODUCT NAME, OR BY KEYWORD/PHRASE (ONE OR THE OTHER).
IF YOU COMBINE THESE OPTIONS, ONLY THE FIRST (TOPMOST) OPTION WILL BE USED.

Search by feature(s) or capabilities:

ABOUT THIS OPTION: Numbers in parentheses are numbers of companies in the database included to date that offer that feature or capability. Limit: 20 choices; additional choices are ignored. As usual, you can hold down the Control key (Windows) or Command key (Macintosh) to select more than one option.

Search for a product or products by name:

ABOUT THIS OPTION: Limit: 10 choices; additional choices are ignored. Currently listed alphabetically, but eventually will be sorted according to level of advertising support, if any. Product name and vendor name in many cases are the same.

And/or search by keyword or phrase:

ABOUT THIS OPTION: Searches by keyword or phrase (maximum 10 characters) are not case sensitive, but correct punctuation (periods, apostrophes, etc.) is important. If you enter more than one word, they'll be treated as a single search phrase. The following are searched: product name, vendor name (if different from product name, which sometimes is the case), street address, exact city (not metro area), state/province (do not use standard state or province abbreviations), and country. (Product features at this time are not included in keyword search, for technical reasons.) Keyword or phrase is highlighted in red on results page.
