The International Directory of Church Website Design

How does your church website compare to others? Is it up to today's standards (in both its design and features)? How can you be sure without spending hundreds of hours searching for and browsing through many different church websites to learn the answer to this question?

That's where The International Directory of Church Website Design — 500 church websites as reduced-sized screenshots in a database — saves you time and frustration (and for commercial designers, money!). Let us do the research for you, so you can spend more time with your family (volunteer church webmasters), attending to your other ministry responsibilities (church staff members), or doing more billable work (commercial web designers).

Tags or "descriptors" are features found on home pages or subjective qualities of home pages. Number in parentheses is number of church websites included to date for which that tag applies.
 
 Many of the features listed may very well appear on inside pages on some church websites, but only home pages are evaluated for this feature. Generally, tags in the list above do not refer to links to features on inside pages. For example, searching for "blogs" will yield churches whose home page actually includes a blog, not churches whose home page merely includes a link to a blog.
 
 You may select up to five tags or descriptors. Additional tags or descriptors you select will be ignored. Searching by tags generally takes priority over other options on this page.
 
 Note: Only a small percentage of churches in the database have been evaluated for this purpose. Because it's time consuming to evaluate home pages for tags, only newly added churches will be evaluated in this way; existing churches in database (as of 1 April 2007) likely never will be evaluated for home page tags.

Searches by keyword or phrase are not case sensitive, but correct punctuation (periods, apostrophes, etc.) is important. If you enter more than one word, they'll be treated as a single search phrase. Church name, city, state, and country will be searched (not, at this time, home page descriptors or Check Inside! features). Keyword or phrase is highlighted in red on results page.
