The International Directory of Church Website Design

How does your church website compare to others? Is it up to today's standards (in both its design and features)? How can you be sure without spending hundreds of hours searching for and browsing through many different church websites to learn the answer to this question?

That's where The International Directory of Church Website Design — 166 church home pages as reduced-sized screenshots in a searchable database — saves you time and frustration. More examples will be added on a regular basis until the directory includes 250 examples.

Update: I'm currently (December 2008) working on a redesign of this site. In January 2009, I plan to update the existing screenshots in the directory. In February and March 2009, I plan to add more examples until the number of churches in the database equals 250.

        Search by home page descriptor (or "tag"):
     
Tags or "descriptors" are features found on home pages or subjective qualities of home pages. Numbers in parentheses are the number of church websites included to date for which that tag applies.
 
 You may select up to five tags or descriptors. Additional tags or descriptors you select will be ignored.

Searches by keyword or phrase are not case sensitive, but correct punctuation (periods, apostrophes, etc.) is important. If you enter more than one word, they'll be treated as a single search phrase. Church name, city, state, and country will be searched. Keyword or phrase is highlighted in red on results page.

Privacy policy: Our database contains only: name of church, city, state, region, URL and data related to image size of screen shots. We do not store in our database the street addresses or contact info for churches. None of the data we do collect and store in our database is shared with or sold to anyone.
