What I had in mind was GAMES. Anyone have games on their church websites?

One example is Chuck's (Camainc's) website for West Side Christian Church, which includes, for example, an online coloring book (http://www.wschurch.org/ecm_color.aspx).

Hi,

I didn't do this on my website, but a woman I know did with great success. At Easter she set up an Easter egg hunt on the website. Under each egg was a Bible verse. It was set up for the kids, but it turned out that the adults enjoy finding all the eggs and Bible verses as well. The idea was not to get a prize but the payoff so to speak was being able to find all of the eggs and verses. In order for the egg to count, the person needed to know what the verse was.

I've seen similar things done on secular sites where if you find a certain graphic, you get so many points or discount for the day. This would be an interesting way to promote an event and your website at the same time. I could see using this over the course of a week or so, to give away free tickets to a concert you're hosting or a discount on a youth camp, etc...

Hmmm......begins thinking again

I'd be interested in games as well. I looked into different coloring book options, but haven't found any freeware I like yet.

I was also thinking about posting a religion themed crossword puzzle on-line each week. Does anybody know of any good sites that have Christian crossword puzzles available?

There are lots of good utilities out there for making your own crossword puzzles, too (I use the free EclipseCrossword program). My problem is finding good questions/clues. Does anybody know where I can find any question and answer bible sets or large volumes of trivia questions on-line? This way I can just cut-and-paste. The question sets or trivia games I have found on-line are usually interactive games and not good for building up my personal crossword puzzle clue database.

Any help would be appreciated!

I customized a Java word search for our site, found here:

I've also begun the process of adding some higher-quality games from Miniclip. You can see a couple of examples on my son's website:

Miniclip makes it pretty easy, and the kids love them.

another site that has downloadable games is Kewlbox. (http://www.kewlbox.com/games/code.cfm)

recently I found this site (http://www.christianityoasis.com/Keyword/games.htm) with christian games available, I have yet to try any of their games, and they aren't downloadable to your site.
