Hi Gilbert,
Thanks for joining the forum and sharing about yourself. What role, if any, did you or did you have in creating or updating your church's website?
While you didn't ask for an opinion about the website, I'll provide one anyway. :) One of the things I noticed right away is the image sizes of the photos are rather large. For example, (an extreme one,) the photo of the building at top left on the home page is 162 x 144 pixels but it's 796 KB in size. That's way too big for an image so small. Such overly large file sizes will tend to make a site load slower than it should.
Anyway, I look forward to your joining our discussions on this forum. I was unsure from your comments whether you meant discussions about web ministry or about Christian doctrine in general. Of course, we focus on the former here.

Welcome to the forum.
The Flash animation doesn't work in Firefox on my computer (Firefox and Flash aren't integrated on my computer, and I don't have the time or the inclination to fix it).
However, I am curious as to what a non-believer is supposed to take away from the Flash animation. Is Clarksville or the church known for their lighthouse? The lighthouse looks likes the ones at Cape Hatteras, North Carolina or St. Augustine, Florida; but neither of those locales are near your church or near mountains.
While I applaud your efforts towards an internet presence; I still must question the use of Flash on most web sites.

Hi Gilbert,
Thanks for providing an explanation about your church's website.

First of all let me say that I merely put a link to the site where I attend Church, I didn't build the website nor do I maintain it. As for the lighthouse, it is a symbol of the Church being a lighthouse to bring lost souls into the harbor where it is safe. Just as lighthouses guide lost ships into the safe harbor, so does the Church guide lost souls into God's harbor where it is safe.
Gilbert, I understood that, and I appreciate the clarification that you do not build your church's web site.
My point was that to a world that is lost, the lighthouse isn't going to make sense unless it is explained.
