Hey all...just joined today. I am glad I found you guys! I am trying to figure out how to do an "e-vite" from our church's website. I want something that is attractive, and easy to use. I am using GoLive to design our site in. I admit I am no expert on web design, and can use all the help I can get...anyone? anyone?? Thanks!

Hi, David,

Welcome to the forum. You have found a good group of people who have all manner of expertise. It is a good place to find.

I do not know what E-vite is? Therefore, I am looking forward to the answers that you get. I learn a lot on this forum. Everyone is good with those of us who are not experienced or who have few skills. I fit both group. However, I am getting better as time goes by. I think we all do. I read all of the posts so that I glean information which I may not need at the time, but eventually it is amazing how much comes up in my work eventually.

I looked at your website. It is different, but I like it. I especially enjoyed what was said regarding "bringing" money as opposed to "giving" money. That made tremendous sense to me. I hadn't thought about money that way before. Thank you.

I hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do. :D

eVites are electronic invites.

Using GoLive, I have no idea how to set that up. David may have one. Using other technologies, it's possible to set up eVites.

Hi, Jack,

Re: E-vites

How are you? Electronic invitations to what? Your birthday party? I have never heard of them until on here on these posts.

Evites sound like a really lost tribe of Israel...or a new kind of insect. I am not certain which one. :-)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's probably talking about a refer-a-friend option on the site to invite people to the site.

You might try one of these if that's the case:

Wow, I did not even realize that people had responded...thanks for the link to hotscripts. Hopefully, I will find something there.

Hi, David,

Somewhere on this bulletin is a place where you can indicate how you would like to be notified to a response to your post.

It will come in the form of an email to you. I get the alert for all the posts so I have learned by reading what comes through and asking questions. If you cannot find where to make the change, contact David, forum administrator, to find out.

I would tell you, but I don't remember. :D
