I took over as webmaster of my church's website earlier this year and I've been looking for a forum or something to help me understand how other churches are handling issues with website development. I'm going to be completely revamping our website and want to see what others are using as solutions for areas that we have in common (i.e. calendar, content ideas, legal issues, etc)

Hi, Elizabeth (Is that what you prefer to be called?),
Welcome to the forum. From the experience you have with computers it looks like you are way ahead of me. However, if there is anything I can do to be of assistance, let me know. I will be glad to help.
You have come to a good forum. We have some very talented people here especially in the technical aspects of building a website...personal opinion. :)
I wanted to get that in lest someone accuse me of trying to speak for a group of people. I have inadvertently done that before, and I don't want to do it again.
Ask as many questions as you wish until you understand what you need in order to do what you want to do. As the people on here will attest, I do that. However, they are very good and patient teachers.
So welcome aboard. Let the fun begin!!
Carol
PS I looked at your church website. I think it does need a bit of help in my not so humble opinion. However, I also know that whoever did it was trying the best he/she could do. We/I sometimes forget that.
