Hi, I'm 'Mean' Dean Peters - the guy who runs HealYourChurchWebsite.com (http://healyourchurchwebsite.com/) and blogs4God.com (http://blogs4god.com/)

Yeah, I should have been involved here months (if not years) ago ... but got a little busy.
Anyway, aside from 'Teaching, rebuking, correcting & training in righteous web design' ... I'm a father, a husband, and during the day, a product management director for a successful line of software as a service applications.
No, I don't do needlepoint, but I do enjoy working on the lawn.
Anyway, that's that short and sweet into. Lemmee know if there are other gory details you want disclosed as I look forward to being a more regular ... well, er ... regular here !-)

Hi Dean,
Welcome! It's an honor to have you as a member of this forum. You've been involved with helping people to improve their website for a long time — longer than I have, for sure.
I believe you also had a hand in the production or authorship of Son of Web Pages That Suck: Learn Good Design by Looking at Bad Design (http://www.amazon.com/Son-Web-Pages-That-Suck/dp/0782140203), unless someone else in our field shares your good name.
Sincerely,
David Gillaspey

thanks David for the kind words ... and yeah, I was Vincent Flanders' go-to guy for the geekery
penning chapter 14, along with many of the techno-fried sidebars
unless you're thinking of my evil twin ... I hate it when he steals my name!-)

Dean:
It's good to have you with us!
I've appreciated, used, and (at times) emulated your good work for a long time. You're a credit to the web world.
In case anyone here doesn't know Dean's body of work, you'll want to take the time to see what he does. Not only does he dispense good advice about quality websites, but he puts his money where his mouth is...he once helped me with a php project when no one else would. His example (and that of many others) encourage me to continue offering help and support for other budding web designers.
Thanks, Dean!

Hey, Dean,
Everyone on here seems to know who you are except me! Where have you been? Or maybe the question is where have I been?
At any rate wherever we have been, I am glad you are here.
Welcome!
Carol
PS Should I also know you from somewhere?

Well, I've been hiding under a bowl ... well that's not true.
I've mostly been hiding out in plain sight on my own blog (http://www.healyourchurchwebsite.com) ... and many of those the kind people saying hello here ... have commented there.
Anyway, been blogging on the topic of church web sites since 2002 ... in fact, got so much material, I gotta task in my queue to re-org my archives a bit.
That said, the recent stuff is a bit more relevent - especially my sermonettes about disruptive technologies and/or conversion goals.
We'll talk about them here a bit too...:)
