I am building a few websites fro churches and wanted to give each the tools to update contents, edit some parts and upload some new materials in some sections.

What would you suggest I could use? Any program for free or at not a very high cost? I was looking at Adobe Contribute, but I am not sure if it is the right option, because of price mainly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a lot

Hi JC,

Thanks for joining the forum.

I list on my website, Great Church Websites (which hosts this forum), many vendors of proprietary web content management systems.

Here's a link to a website that's all about open-source (typically PHP+mySQL) solutions, including content management systems:

http://opensourcecms.com

You'll also want to look into the Web Empowered Church initiative

http://webempoweredchurch.com/

which uses TYPO3, a powerful CMS created by a Christian.

Finally, this forum has several threads on the subject:
