Hi Jack,

Thanks for the link to the blog-based site. It's actually a pretty good site, isn't it? I'm tempted to include it with other Maryland churches in my database, since I'm currently researching the websites of churches located in Maryland. (That would violate my usual prohibition against including websites based on predesigned templates, but this is such an interesting example that I might be willing to make an exception for it.)

I noticed, however, that there wasn't too many comments (from visitors) to the posted articles. But my impression is that the site, at least in its blogged-based incarnation, is new, so there hasn't been time for many comments to be added. The reason I believe the site is new is that the archive area contains only content for January 2005.

David,

I believe you are right. It was covered in Effective Web Ministry Notes (http://eministrynotes.blogspot.com/2005/01/blog-stretching.html) on Friday. Rob links to the pastor's personal blog article about beta-testing the site (http://jollyblogger.typepad.com/jollyblogger/2005/01/betatesting_a_b.html), and it was posted Thursday.

I would break the rule for this one because the idea is fresh and new, and it might make people think. However, if you don't want to break the rule (breaking it the first time makes it easier to break it again, and breaking it once makes people ask why you can't break it again), I'd stick it in seen and noted.

Yeah, I'll probably include it. But I'll add a comment (since visitors are now able to comment on sites in my database) explaining why I added it.
