The office at my church used churchart.com (http://www.churchart.com) in the past. I don't know how happy they were with the quality but the quantity is supposed to be impressive.

The guy who leads our praise team has a login for ChurchMedia.net, but the site appears to focus more on presentations (Power Point and song backgrounds).

My church subscribes to ChurchArtPro: http://www.churchartpro.com/default.asp

Our subscription is $42.45 per quarter, billed quarterly. We use the service for weekly bulletins, monthly newsletter, posters, and the website, and have been very pleased with the search capabilities, variety, and service we get from these folks.

More often than not an image can derive meaning from the page context, so there are a lot of professional looking images that can work well on a Church web site--a family, a sunset, kids playing, etc. I use http://iStockphoto.com for my images. They cost a little over a dollar for the smaller ones (usually about 500 pixels wide) which is extremely affordable. I used them for http://HomeschoolBuy.com, and the chalkboard frame for http://looklistenlearn.org.

Hi,

I use the images portion of Google. It takes some time to find what I am after sometimes, but there is a wealth of choice.

Image portion of Google? You mean the image search?

Hi, Danny,

Yes, I mean image search. My terms are somewhat of a mess from time to time. Thanks for helping be to be more specific. There are times I have no idea the name of what I am trying to do. I keep plugging away, and eventually I will discover what something is called.

The next problem, of course, is to remember it properly.

I have a question for somebody. How on earth do you make the quote work on this forum? I can get everything or nothing quoted. I do not know how to get just a portion of the quote which is relevant to the response. I have tried highlighting, but that didn't work. I would like to know after all of this time of being on this forum.

Thanks!

Carol

TO get the quote to work click quote on the actual post you want to respond to.

Google image search leads to images on various web sites. More often than not they are not free to take and use. You need to be sure that you have permission from the copyright holder to use the image.

Maybe a better response is this: Click the Quote button and you'll have an edit window open up. You'll find the quote surrounded by text directives in square brackets. Delete the text that is not pertinent to your query. Then type your question or response. Works like a charm!

I thought there was some mysterious way to "lift" the quote. :D I just did the reverse when I made the quoted sections in blue text which just may be faster, I think.

Thanks!
