Have you implemented a web-based resource/scheduling system? If so, I'd like to hear about it!

We have a need for such a system, with the following minimum requirements set:

(1) Web-enabled, not LAN-based like our current (ACS) system

(2) A limited number of folks can do the scheduling (password protected)

(3) Events are scheduled, as well as supporting resources (meeting rooms, AV equipment, etc.)

(4) A bonus would be the ability to schedule "Fellowship Hall" and/or "Fellowship Hall A" or "Fellowship Hall "B" (it has a room divider to split it up into two rooms).

(5) Support staff can be scheduled (sound technicians, maintenance staff)

(6) Flexible presentation/views on the web

(7) Web presentation customization ("our" colors, logo, etc.)

I'd love to here what experiences you've had, or what software you've encountered, that would meet these minimum requirements ...

Bob,

Have you seen if ACS offers a website builder. Most Church Management Software companies have web builders. If it's not to expensive you may think of going with them for an internal site that can cooperate with your database.

Hi Bob

I've needed something like this for my church for ages but never really found anything that 'felt right'. I have this kind of thing on my to-do list! I developed a system where ministry leaders can book space in the church that I have online at www.lighthouseoffice.co.uk and would like to add the functionality you are asking for. If you find something great (and free!) let me know otherwise I'll plow on - if you have access to a php/mysql server I'll happily share what I've got but it'll probably be a couple of months before I even get round to it!

This is an old post so I am sure you have found something by now but we emplemented Google Calendar. We have 9 google calendars (youth group, preschool, etc) that we mesh together to form the church calendar.
