Welcome to the forum Billy!

You'll find not only a lot of useful information here, but very friendly folks too.

Do you have any links to some of the work you've done? I'm always interested in seeing how others put a site together. Sometimes, some little thing they've done gives me the fuel needed for an idea for my site...

Hey Billy!

I had to laugh at your opening comment in reply to my post...that statement might be fair if we were comparing apples to apples, but that's not the case here. You're using pure html, and I'm using a content management system which is based on php and css. Both have their pro's and cons. I personally think mine looks a little cheesy (definitely cookie-cutter style), but that's because I've only been working with CMS for about 3 months now, and I got out-voted on the template design we decided to use until I can create one from scratch...and I still have a ton of other work to do on it to get it to where I'd like it to be visually.

As for your sites, I like the big 'G' graphic on the gfwc site. Very nice logo; I think it looks awesome with the black background.

The others look nice as well. They each have the info presented without a ton of clutter. One small suggestion I might make would be to use a form of some sort for your contact email (camp maranatha site) in place of having the link opening up MS Outlook, as not everybody uses Outlook.

I never worked with publisher, only dabbled with FrontPage a few years ago and learned just enough about html to be dangerous. And now I'm forced to learn CMS and all that goes with it...but if things work out I might just be able to earn some extra income from it eventually...
