Hello, I'm Jarrod McDevitt.

I am a digital artist/web developer who loves everything about the '80s.haha I primarily work in php and Flash when doing web work.

I attend the Church of Christ here in Richmond, Indiana. I started gathering information to build our site in Oct of 08 and am constantly trying to make it better by adding more content. You can take a look at http://www.the-church-of-christ.com/ and tell me what you think. We have added KJV, ASV, Strongs concordance, and Smith bible dictionary in Flash. I just got permission from Lockman to put up NASB so hopefully I can add that soon. I love working on this stuff because it is one of the things I feel I can contribute back to God since he has done so much in my life.

I really enjoy looking through this site and it gives me more ideas all the time so I thank everyone that has contributed to this forum. It is good to see everyone's dedication. Keep up the awesome work!

Hi Jared,

Thanks for joining the forum, and posting an introduction about yourself.

I'll comment more about your site in a few days, but my initial impression is that it looks very nice. The only problem I see on the home page — and the main problem — is the large amount of white space in the bottom right quadrant. But no doubt you have plans for that.

Congratulations on adding Scripture to the home page. My research of many church websites shows only a small percentage of churches put Scripture on the home page of their website. That's really sad.

Hi Jarrod and welcome to the forums - trust you find them of use and good to have your skillset aboard.

When you say artist, is all your work computer based or do you also do freehand stuff as well?
